Where can I find instructions on writing and submitting a final dissertation/thesis?

On the front page of DLWMS choose ‘Dokumenti’ then ‘Opći dokumenti’. By following the instructions, you will get the “Guidelines for the Final Dissertation/Thesis”, “Guidelines for the Submission and Defence of Dissertation,” as well as the form of the Dissertation Proposal. A detailed reading of the Guidelines will give you the answers to all the questions concerning the ways how to write, submit and defend a final dissertation/thesis.

What shall I do if I lose or forget a password to access DLWMS or have technical issues with using it?

If you lose your password for DLWMS or have technical issues in accessing or using the service, it is necessary, as soon as possible, to email the administrator of the DLWMS at admin@ckm.ba.

Where are exam results published?

Exam results are published at DLWMS and/or on the notice boards of the University.

Is it necessary to register a midterm exam?

No. The date for a midterm exam is scheduled by a teacher or an assistant during lectures.

How do I register for exams?

Exams are registered exclusively online ─ through DLWMS, no later than five (5) days before the scheduled time of the exam. If a student is unable to take the exam, the exam registration must be cancelled no later than 24 hours prior to the exam. Otherwise, it is considered that the student has not passed the exam.

Where can I find a timetable of classes?

Timetable of classes, as well as every alteration, is available at DLWMS, and on the notice boards in the premises of the University. Timetables are arranged by cycles, years of study and departments.

What is DLWMS and how can I use it?

DLWMS (Distance Learning Web Management System) of the University is a way of internal communication between students and staff of the University. Student Online Service is accessed via the website http://student.ckm.ba. Upon enrollment, along with all required documentation, students receive information how to access Online Student Service, depending on the degree of studies they have enrolled.

What is the procedure of recognition of the courses completed at another higher education institution?

The Admission Office issues an application for the equivalence of courses that should be submitted with:

  1. Original Transcript of Records and translation into one of the official languages ​​in Bosnia and Herzegovina, certified by a court interpreter (if documents are in a foreign language)
  2. Curriculum of a foreign educational institution

The decision on the equivalence of documents is to be made within sixty (60) days from the date of application.

Do the professional services of the University perform validation of foreign diplomas? What documents are required for validation?

Validation of diplomas, or other documents on higher education, or scientific degree, is carried out at the request of citizens of BiH, as well as foreign nationals, or stateless persons who have a legal interest in BiH. The Admission Office issues an application for validation of educational certificate that should be submitted along with:

1. Original documents on education abroad or a certified copy
2. Translation of documents into Croatian, Bosnian or Serbian language, certified by a court interpreter (if documents are in a foreign language)
3. Original transcript of records and translation into one of the local languages, certified by a court interpreter (if documents are in a foreign language)
4. Curriculum of a foreign educational institution
5. Certificate of residence
6. Copy of ID card
7. Copy of birth certificate
8. Proof of payment of administrative fees
9. Documents on education in Bosnia and Herzegovina, acquired prior to education abroad

In the application for validation or equivalence, the applicant must state whether the same application has been already submitted to another authority. The University may request from the applicant other evidence from which it can have an insight into the duration and other terms of education abroad and the rights that educational certificate gives in the country in which it was obtained. After receiving each application, a permanent expert commission of five members, appointed by the Senate, proceeds with the validation of a diploma or other documents. The University is obliged to complete the process of validation within 60 days from the date of application. In particularly complex cases, the deadline may be extended for an additional thirty (30) days.

When can I apply for admission to the University and what documents do I have to submit?

Every year, in June, the University, through mass media (radio, TV, newspaper, website of the University) invites applications for admission of new generation of students, specifying the deadline for admission to each of the University departments. An application, downloaded from the website of the University, must be submitted along with the following documents:

  1. Short CV (curriculum vitae)
  2. Copy of birth certificate
  3. Citizenship certificate (for foreign citizens)
  4. Copy of ID card
  5. Medical certificate
  6. Two photos for matriculation book (4×6 cm)
  7. High school diploma and certificates for all four years of high school education (original documents or certified copies)
  8. Diploma on completed education for admission to the second and the third cycle of studies (original document or certified copy)
  9. Certificate of employment (only for students studying part-time)
  10. Motivational letter (only for admission to postgraduate studies)
  11. Payment slip to the amount of 150,00 BAM in purpose of producing matriculation book and enrolment material
